IP Protocols

The S_TOOLS-STx ip item supports the following protocols:

Transport Layer Protocols

The S_TOOLS-STx ip item supports the TCP/IP transfer protocols TCP and UDP.

Application Layer Protocols

The S_TOOLS-STx ip item supports the following three application layer protocols:

- Open Sound Control (OSC)

- S_TOOLS-STx IP Data protocol

- ASCII / Unicode

The application layer protocol used is independent of the transport layer protocol used.

S_TOOLS-STx IP Data Protocol

The S_TOOLS-STx IP Data protocol can send and receive string or double vector/matrix data.

Sending a matrix of numbers interprets each table field as a vector with as many values as there are table entries.
