Transport Layer Protocols

The STx ip item supports the TCP/IP transfer protocols TCP and UDP.

Application Layer Protocols

The STx ip item supports the following three application layer protocols:

- Open Sound Control (OSC)

- STx IP Data protocol

- ASCII / Unicode

The application layer protocol used is independent of the transport layer protocol used.

STx IP Data Protocol

The STx IP Data protocol can send and receive string or double vector/matrix data.

Sending a matrix of numbers interprets each table field as a vector with as many values as there are table entries.
